Ever check the weather and still have no idea what to wear?
That's how ClimaPal began… out of pure daily frustration.
Living in a place where the weather can swing from rain in the morning to sunshine by noon, then roll into thunderstorms by evening, I found myself constantly dressing wrong or lugging around extra clothes "just in case." The same struggle followed me when traveling. I'd overpack, forget essentials, and end up wearing only half of what I brought. It felt like no app truly understood the real-world problem of dressing for unpredictable conditions.
As a product manager, I could design the screens, map out the user experience, and write detailed requirements, but there was one big problem: I wasn't a coder. For years, this idea sat in my notebooks and design files, waiting for a way to come to life.
Then AI changed everything.
With the rise of AI-assisted development, I realized I could finally bridge the gap. Using my designs and requirements, I began generating Swift code through AI tools, turning what was once just a concept into a working prototype. That prototype evolved into a fully functional iOS app, thanks to developers who helped polish and prepare it for launch.
It hasn't been an easy road. There were times I almost gave up, debugging, testing, redesigning, and rebuilding again, but I kept pushing forward. Each setback taught me something new about persistence, learning, and adaptation.
Now, seeing ClimaPal live on the App Store and Google Play still feels surreal. I built something that solves a real problem for people everywhere: knowing what to wear and pack with confidence, no matter what the weather brings.
What started as an idea born from daily frustration has become an AI-powered assistant that helps travelers and everyday users alike plan smarter.
I'm humbled, proud, and grateful to see this dream come to life, and I hope ClimaPal makes your day (and your suitcase) a little lighter, smarter, and easier.
